Studio 3955
Multidisciplinary design studio bridging Italian and Brazilian design cultures, directed by Giorgio Bonaguro and Beto Consorte.
Studio 3955 (Estúdio 39/55) is a multidisciplinary design studio directed by Giorgio Bonaguro and Beto Consorte, with guest designers and curators from Brazil and internationally. The studio's name references the international dialing codes: +39 for Italy and +55 for Brazil, reflecting their core mission of cultural exchange between these two rich design traditions.
The studio brings together principles of modern design, the Bauhaus school, and Italian design heritage, seeking to improve connections between industry, designers, architects, and consumers. Their work embodies a cross-cultural dialogue that produces furniture of exceptional quality and conceptual depth.
For IBTW, Studio 3955 has developed the Itacoatiara, Itaúnas, and Modernista collections — outdoor furniture that synthesizes Italian precision with Brazilian warmth. Each collection reflects the studio's belief that great design emerges from the intersection of cultures, materials, and human needs.
