Giorgio Bonaguro
Italian-Brazilian designer combining linear style with craftsmanship research and material experimentation.
Born in 1977 in Italy, Giorgio Bonaguro studied mechanical engineering in Modena before pursuing a dual Master's in Industrial and Interior Design at the Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) in Milan. This unique combination of engineering rigor and design sensibility defines his approach to furniture creation.
Working between Italy and Brazil, Bonaguro occupies a rare position at the intersection of two rich design traditions. His work is characterized by a linear, essential style combined with deep craftsmanship research and bold material experimentation — each piece revealing the intelligence of its construction.
For IBTW, Bonaguro has created the Jeri collection, which captures the essence of Brazilian coastal living through Italian precision. His pieces demonstrate that outdoor furniture can be simultaneously robust and refined, engineered and poetic.
