Alfio Lisi
Brazilian architect dedicated to furniture and accessories design since 2002, blending architectural precision with organic forms.
Alfio Lisi is a Brazilian architect from Santa Cruz da Conceição, in the interior of São Paulo state. Trained at UNESP/Bauru, he fell in love with wood during university and since 2002 has dedicated his practice to furniture and accessories design, developing a body of work that reflects the quiet sophistication of Brazilian craftsmanship.
Lisi's approach to design is rooted in architectural thinking — an understanding of space, proportion, and the relationship between objects and their environment. His furniture pieces are conceived not as isolated objects but as elements that define and enhance the spaces they inhabit. He works primarily with Brazilian woods, creating pieces that blend architectural precision with organic forms.
For IBTW, Lisi has created the Bolha collection — featuring composite stone tables with organic bubble-like shapes — as well as the Caracolis armchair and the Michigan collection. His work brings architectural sensibility to outdoor living, demonstrating that outdoor furniture can possess the same spatial intelligence and material refinement as the finest interior pieces.
